Berrymoor Bridge Day Use Area
Located along the North Saskatchewan River, adjacent to the East of Hwy 759, is a road allowance managed by Brazeau County that was the site of an informal boat launch for many years. Historically, this area was used as a loading area for the ferry that used to cross the North Saskatchewan River before the bridge was constructed.
In 2022, the area was developed into a day use area, complete with vault washroom facilities, parking, and a picnic area.
Coyote Lake Conservation Area
With large tracts of virgin forest, wetland and a 135 acre shallow lake this site plays host to over 266 species of plants; 108 bird species plus 46 waterfowl of which nine are at risk; and over 20 species of mammals. Call 877-262-1253 for more information.
Drayton Valley Ski Hill

Pembina Nordic Ski Club
The Pembina Nordic Centre offers over 20 kilometres of groomed cross country ski trails, walking, mountain bike trails, and snowshoeing trails for the entire family. In addition to these gorgeous trails, members can now enjoy eighteen holes disc golf!
Recreation enthusiasts who visit the Pembina Nordic Centre will enjoy the spectacular views of the river valley and surrounding area. Warm up in the wood-heated, timber-framed chalet or pack a lunch to enjoy at one of the many picnic spots, equipped with fire pits.

Outdoor Rinks
Brazeau County encourages its residents to enjoy recreational and sporting opportunities during the entire year. In an effort to support the community in providing opportunities for recreation and sport, specifically in the winter months, there are three outdoor skating rinks within Brazeau County:

- Cynthia - 5401 49 Street
- Rocky Rapids - 5013 50 Avenue
There is also an outdoor skating rink located within the Town of Drayton Valley's Discovery Park (4725-46 Street).
Sardine Lake
Sardine Lake is a popular local fishing destination, located between Carnwood and Alsike, which is stocked with Rainbow Trout by Alberta Environment and Parks. There is a wide riparian area around the lake which which is accessed by a seasonal dock and walkway combination that will increase accessibility for anglers and minimizes environmental damage to the riparian area. The dock is installed in the spring and removed in the fall annually.
