Citizen Appointments to Various Committees and Boards

CITIZEN APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS COMMITTEES AND BOARDS

Brazeau County is appointing County residents to serve as members-at-large on the Brazeau County Steering Committee. Council invites interested County residents to express their interest in serving on the Steering Committee and attendance at meetings is a requirement for appointment.

                                           LAND USE BYLAW STEERING COMMITTEE

An Eleven (11) member board consisting of all Councillors (6-7) and four (4) members-at-large selected from a diversity of interests. The County desires to have letters of interest from:

  • At least 1 hamlet resident
  • At least 1 farmer owner/operator
  • At least 1 business owner located within the County
  • At least 1 country residential acreage owner

Meetings will be held between January and May of 2015 with a schedule determined during the first meeting of the Steering Committee. Appointments are expected to occur on the January 6th, 2015 Council Meeting.

Residents seeking to participate on the committee must indicate their interest by submitting a completed application form available from the County office or the Brazeau County website (www.brazeau.ab.ca) to the undersigned by 5:00 pm., Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
