Brazeau County advises residents that the Violet Grove Transfer Station will be undergoing upgrades beginning April 27, 2026, with anticipated completion by August 16, 2026. Work may be completed earlier, weather permitting.
Service Impacts During Construction
During the construction period, the facility will accept garbage and recyclable materials only. Residents are asked to take metal, appliances, and all other materials to the Rocky Rapids Transfer Station.
Delays and Alternate Locations
Users should expect delays at the site during construction. To help minimize wait times, residents are encouraged to use any other transfer station in the County, with the following being the nearest alternatives:
- Lodgepole
- Rocky Rapids
- Easyford
