New Motor Oil & Materials Recycling Station at Lindale Waste Transfer Station

Posted

Brazeau County residents now have a convenient way to recycle used oil and related materials, thanks to a grant from Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA). A dedicated Oil Recycling Station has been installed at the Lindale Waste Transfer Station to make proper disposal safe and easy.

This service is available to all Brazeau County residents with a valid Transfer Station ID card.

What You Can Bring

Residents can drop off the following items at the oil recycling station:

  • Used oil (maximum container size: 20 L pails)
  • Used oil filters
  • Used antifreeze
  • Empty oil and antifreeze jugs for recycling

Important Guidelines

To ensure safe handling and proper recycling procedure:

  • Barrels are not accepted due to handling limitations.
  • Oil must be brought in containers no larger than 20 L.
  • Please see the Site Attendant before depositing materials.  Materials must be reviewed and directed by the attendant.
  • Recycling station located in the sea can to the left of the main waste disposal bins.

Location

The Oil Recycling Station is located at the Lindale Waste Transfer Station at 49431 Range Road 52.

Directions:

  • Travel north on Range Road 52 from Highway 39
  • Continue 1.5 km past Township Road 494
  • The station is on the east side of the road
  • Look for the Sea Can located to the left of the main waste disposal bins

Proper recycling helps protect the environment and keeps hazardous materials out of our landfill. Brazeau County thanks residents for doing their part to dispose of used oil and antifreeze responsibly.  Questions should be directed to the Public Works Department at Brazeau County’s Administration Office by phone at 780-542-7777 or by e-mail at publicworks@brazeau.ab.ca
