Brazeau County, AB – A strong, prosperous, and growing province relies on safe and dependable infrastructure. By investing in local roads and transportation infrastructure, United Conservatives are fixing the highways that keep rural communities connected and drive Alberta’s economy.
Alberta’s government is providing Brazeau County with $861,000 in funding to replace a culvert that will help restore and strengthen its road network. The grant is part of a $29.3-million provincial investment through the Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP), which funds critical upgrades to transportation infrastructure across the province.

The culvert replacement will enhance the structural integrity and long-term resilience of the county’s local road network. Replacing aging infrastructure will improve drainage, prevent road degradation, and ensure safe passage for commuters, agricultural producers, and commercial trucks for years to come.

STIP is a provincial grant program administered by Alberta’s Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridors that provides cost-shared funding to rural and smaller urban municipalities to build and maintain local transportation networks. Through streams like the Local Road Bridge program, the province helps local governments upgrade essential bridges and culverts, ensure long-term road safety, and support regional economic growth.
