Brazeau County Council Appoints Chief Administrative Officer

BRAZEAU COUNTY, June 18, 2024 — Brazeau County Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Rudy Friesen as Chief Administrative Officer, effective Monday, July 15, 2024. Council made the appointment at today’s Council meeting.

Mr. Friesen comes to Brazeau County with over two decades of leadership experience in the event, facility and municipal industries. Most recently he has served as the CAO at Bowden, AB.  He’s been involved in many key aspects of importance to the County, including asset management, capital development and regional and rural economic development.  As well, he brings a well-developed relationship with other levels of government.  He was raised in and started his professional career in the agricultural industry, and still maintains a strong connection to primary production agriculture, most specifically the beef sector.

“Council looks forward to working with Rudy to do the work of Brazeau,” Reeve Bart Guyon says. “He has a great background in government and economic development that will help us to make the County an even better place to live, work and play.”

“It is an honour to be chosen by Council to provide this important leadership role to the County,” Mr. Friesen says. “I look forward to a strong working relationship with Council, Administration and the community at large, to continue to advance the objectives of the County for the benefit of the residents it serves.”
