NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

TAKE NOTICE that the Councils of Brazeau County and Parkland County will be holding public hearings with regard to the Brazeau County/Parkland County Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP).  An IDP is a document required by the Municipal Government Act, which ensures future development and land use policy is coordinated between municipalities, reduces the possibility of any potential conflicts between Counties and ensures the relationship remains collaborative.  The proposed Brazeau County/Parkland County IDP will encompass the area shown on the map below.

TAKE NOTICE that Parkland County Council will hold a Public Hearing at which any person claiming to be affected by the proposed adoption of the IDP may ask questions or make their views known.  The Public Hearing will be held on July 10, 2018 at 9:30 am in the Council Chambers of the Parkland County office at 53109 A Highway 779, Parkland County, Alberta.

This is a formal Public Hearing and Council is prepared to hear and receive formal submissions and presentations (verbal or written) from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw. Written submissions or presentations may either be submitted to Planning & Development by 4:00pm on July 3, 2018, or submitted at the commencement of the Public Hearing.

Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Parkland County Council must notify Planning & Development Services by 4:00 pm, on July 3, 2018. Verbal presentations at the Public Hearing will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation who has not made prior arrangements may be allocated a time at the commencement of the Public Hearing. Council advises that this is your last opportunity to comment on the proposed Bylaw as Council is unable to receive further submissions after the Public Hearing is closed.

FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that Brazeau County Council will hold a Public Hearing for the proposed adoption of the IDP at which any person claiming to be affected by the proposed IDP may ask questions or make their views known.  The Public Hearing will be held on July 17, 2018 at 10:00 am or as soon thereafter as possible in the Council Chambers of Brazeau County office at 7401 Township Road 494, Drayton Valley, Alberta.
