From the Desk of the CAO
Happy spring! After what seems like an exceedingly long winter, we are finally into the growing season. Staff at the County have been very diligent with catching up on some old business and implementing new policies that will see a more resident focused approach. As I mentioned in the last Brazeau County News edition, I am a firm believer in public participation and keeping residents engaged in what their local government is doing. I have met with a number of interested and concerned individuals and I would like to re-iterate that I am available to meet with you if you have any concerns or questions.
We are actively implementing our aggressive Capital Investment Program so I would like to remind everyone to be mindful in construction zones and high traffic areas. We are also starting our weed notification and inspection program; so if you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to contact our Agricultural Services Department.
One of the County’s most exciting new projects is our Energy Efficiency Rebate Program (see our website for more details) and our upcoming Eco-Fair. Residents are encouraged to come down June 23rd to the County office parking lot to learn about new initiatives and innovative, ecologically friendly ideas from the County and surrounding businesses. This is an event for all ages and is free admission.
Feel free to contact my office to schedule appointments or if you require any further information on our programs and services. I trust the upcoming spring and summer will be productive and fulfilling seasons not just for the County but also all of you.
