Hemp Tour

Approximately 50 people attended the Industrial Hemp Field Day on August 30th to learn about hemp research and production in Brazeau County.

Participants on the tour visited the West-Central Forage Association hemp fields research site at land provided by Reeve Bart Guyon; resident Henry Hughes’ hemp field; the Bio- Composites Group facility in Drayton Valley; and the Breton Plots, where the University of Alberta has planted hemp on a trial basis. The Industrial Hemp Field Day was organized by the West-Central Forage Association, in partnership with Brazeau County.
