Brazeau County Council Appoints Chief Administrative Officer

BRAZEAU COUNTY, December 6, 2022 — Brazeau County Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Kent Edney as Chief Administrative Officer, effective Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Council made the appointment at today’s Council meeting.

Mr. Edney is a professional engineer and brings over a decade of experience as a senior executive in the oil and gas sector to the Brazeau County team. Most recently, he spent four years as the Manager of Gas Operations for the City of Medicine Hat, leading a diverse team focused on efficient operations and regional economic development in a complex municipal environment. 

Mr. Edney has a strong background in organizational leadership and development, strategic planning and budgeting, and financial and operational management. In addition, he has spent more than 20 years planning and executing large capital projects in a rural environment while building relationships with residents, landowners, and all levels of the provincial and federal governments.
