Brazeau County Council Launches Free App

BRAZEAU COUNTY, February 21, 2018 — Brazeau County has a new customizable mobile App available as a free download to offer residents and businesses a new way to access information and connect to their County.

The App, developed by SMP Apps, offers a number of features, including the ability to call a number of Brazeau County phone numbers, use the public webmap, access the iHunter App, report a road, bylaw, weed, or property problem, and view agendas and minutes. This is in addition to features allowing users to view County news, events, business directory, alerts, as well as Alberta Emergency Alerts. A customizable push notification system will give users real-time updates on County news events, and alerts.

The App is built on a scalable platform that will enable future updates and additional features to be added as they become available. It was developed by SMB Apps, an Alberta company that specializes in mobile apps for municipalities.

“We’re pleased to offer another way for residents, businesses, and visitors to connect with the County,” says Reeve Bart Guyon. “We are committed to both sharing information, and hearing from ratepayers. This App is another tool to help us do both.”

The Brazeau County Mobile App is free to download on both Apple and Android devices, and is available for direct download in the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.
