Waste Transfer Stations

WASTE DISPOSAL CHARGES at DRAYTON VALLEY LANDFILL

As of January 1, 2008 Brazeau County residents WILL BE CHARGED a $5.00 MINIMUM FEE at the Drayton Valley Landfill for household waste. The Drayton Valley Landfill is 100% owned by the Town of Drayton Valley and Aspen Waste Management Authority. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Town of Drayton Valley at (780) 514-2200.

County residents are encouraged to take their household garbage to their local Brazeau County Transfer Stations where there is no disposal fees. Please see the links below for locations, hours of operation and information about the individual Transfer Stations.

Waste Transfer Stations are located at Breton, Buck Creek, Cynthia, Easyford, Lindale, Lodgepole, Rocky Rapids, and Violet Grove.

The main gates at the Waste Transfer Stations are locked to control these sites during operating hours. Leaving waste outside the locked gates of a transfer station is illegal and violators will be prosecuted.
The following wastes are not accepted at the Waste Transfer Stations: tires, liquid, concrete, demolition, animal carcasses, or hazardous waste.

All stations are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday.
