9-1-1 Rural Addressing

At one time or another, each of us will find ourselves in an emergency situation, either as someone needing help, or someone who must call for help. Brazeau County Emergency Services covers an area of 3,000 square kilometers. When emergency situations exist ... every minute counts.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
Rural Access Program

  • When there are multiple dwellings with one common driveway, each of the dwellings will have an alphabetical address, e.g. 50021 Rge Rd 50, A and 50021 Rge Rd 50, B.
  • Subdivision Addressing and Addressing within Hamlets will be explained at the Information Meetings.
  • This system is not for mailing purposes, but for the provision of 911 - Emergency Services only.
As of May 1, 2004, the Rural Address or Hamlet Address assigned to you is now in effect. When using the 911 system for emergency service, please use your new address.

For Rural Address residence please ensure that the above noted address number corresponds with your posted sign.

For Hamlet Address residences please ensure you have your number posted in a visible place. House numbers are available at the county office during regular office hours if you have not picked them up.

For ease of use have your rural address posted with your other emergency numbers by the telephone.

If you have any questions, please contact the office at 780-542-7777.
