Brazeau County is looking for a Journeyman/Woman Welder

This positions primary responsibility is to carry out a variety of welding duties. The individual may also be required to assist with other shop and related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Journeyman Certification (Red Seal considered an asset)
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Ability to carry out duties as assigned
• Class 5 driver’s license or higher
• Able to perform physical labour
• Previous experience with design and fabrication would be an asset
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Must be able to complete tasks assigned by deadline

A 2^nd or 3^rd year apprentice may be considered.

Brazeau County is looking for a Full Time Equipment Operator

This equipment operator’s primary responsibility will be to operate a small cat, truck and trailer, track hoe, loader, water truck, snow plow, grader and various other miscellaneous equipment, within the County. This position is a permanent full-time placement.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to efficiently operate all above stated equipment
• Should have a minimum of a class 1 driver’s license, but a class 3 is acceptable
• Driver’s abstract will be required for successful candidate
• Ability to carry out physical labor
• Minimum 3 years’ experience on most of the above stated equipment preferred but willing to train.
