Rick Ennis, Lisa Murphy, Renae Sawyer and Trudi Richert were appointed as the 2011 Weed Inspectors and Pest Inspectors for the County.

A motion was passed to update the bank signing authorities.

The Drayton Valley Golf & Country Club Ltd. requested property tax exemption.  Council passed a motion to deny the request as the club does not meet the requirements under Section 362 of the Municipal Government Act.

Council approved the Cash Statement and Bank Reconciliation for April, 2011.

Bylaw 759-11 was given three readings.  This is a bylaw to allow the County to borrow certain sums of money from time to time to meet current expenditures of the County for its financial year commencing January 1, 2011.

Jim Fersch attended the meeting to provide council with additional information regarding a feasibility study for the development of a multi-purpose agricultural facility.  Several residents were also in attendance to support the request.  The estimated cost of the study is $24,000.  Council passed a motion to provide up to $8,000 towards the feasibility study from the 2011 Budget.

Four applications from Planning and Development received first reading and Bylaw 753-11 received second and third reading.

Revcon Oilfield Constructors applied to the County for construction costs of an undeveloped road on 65th street north to access their property.  Council passed a motion to defer this request to the 2012 Budget and suggested that the developer work with Public Works to find a suitable solution for the time being.

Pearl Hamdon and a delegation of four young men attended the Council meeting to make presentation regarding a new skate park.  They requested a letter of support to accompany their applications for grants.  Mrs. Hamdon also asked for consideration for the skate park during the 2012 Budget discussions.

Council received a request from a resident for the installation of a commemorative bench at 49112 Range Road 72.  A motion was passed that if the resident purchases the bench and the plaque, the County will install it.

The Frank Maddock High School Grad Committee requested that Brazeau County cover ½ of their $1500 shortfall.  Council denied the request.
