Council Approves $5,000 Peloton level sponsorship of Tour of Alberta Stage 3 Finish in Drayton Valley

 

Drayton Valley, Alberta, August 9, 2016 — At its August 2 meeting, Brazeau County Council approved sponsorship of the Tour of Alberta Stage 3 Finish in Drayton Valley in the amount of $5,000, the Peloton level of sponsorship.

 

Approximately 120 of the world’s best riders will race though Brazeau County on September 3rd before completing the stage in Drayton Valley. After traveling up Highway 22 from Rocky Mountain House, racers will cycle through Buck Creek, and then north on Range Road 71 to rejoin the highway before arriving in Drayton Valley. Racers are expected in Buck Creek at approximately 3:30 p.m.

 

“With thousands of people arriving in our region for the Tour of Alberta, and a TV audience of 47 million people, this is a great event to showcase Brazeau County to the world,” says Reeve Bart Guyon. “We are proud to sponsor this world-class event and show off all the region has to offer.”
