DRAYTON VALLEY- The Government of Alberta’s Municipal Affairs Ministry has approved funding for three inter municipal projects in Drayton Valley and Brazeau County.  These funds have been procured from the Alberta Community Partnership (ACP) program that promotes strong working relationships between communities and regional approaches to municipal service and delivery.

  1. $350,000 towards the purchase of a new Fire/Rescue Pumper Truck for the Drayton Valley/ Brazeau County Fire Services Department.
  2. $350,000 towards the Ring Road Realignment Project.
  3. $350,000 towards the North West Quadrant Trail System project.

“Grant funding from the Government of Alberta to assist in these projects demonstrates that inter municipal collaboration can benefit both the Town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County,” Mayor Glenn McLean.

“We appreciate the province re-investing in our area, supporting our infrastructure and rural recreation needs,” says Brazeau County Reeve Bart Guyon.

Through a strong working relationship, the Town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County look forward to future funding opportunities.
