Change to fire permit application process

In order to offer a more streamlined service to residents, Drayton Valley/Brazeau County Fire Services fire permits will be available online, effective January 4, 2016. Residents will also be able to obtain a permit by telephone.

Effective on this date, fire permits will not be issued by fire guardians in Brazeau County. After submitting an online application, a representative will contact the applicant within 48 hours to advise them of the next step in the process, which may include the need for more information or an onsite visit. All applications will be received during regular business hours, Mon‐Fri 8:00am‐5:00pm.

Brazeau County Fire Services Bylaw #703‐09, Forest and Prairie Protection Act of Alberta and Regulations Part 1: Section 4 will continue to apply to all burning in Brazeau County and residents are reminded that a permit is required for all months of the year.
