Brazeau County Declares State of Agricultural Disaster

BREAKING: During the July 21st Brazeau County Council meeting, Council declared a State of Agricultural Disaster due to the hardship weather conditions and drought have placed on local farmers.

Moisture levels in some areas of Alberta are at the lowest levels recorded in the last 50 years, and Brazeau County is hoping to call attention to this extremely important issue by declaring a State of Agricultural Disaster.

Brazeau County is prepared to provide the necessary support to its agricultural community to help local farmers through this tough time and will be notifying provincial and federal government officials in order to request a disaster recovery program to address the issue.
